Peter Kienzle aka SUPERETTE, born 1970 in rural Germany, is an illustrator and graphic artist. His work has been published in numerous magazines, among them Tokion, Lodown, The Fader, OK Fred, Print. Co-founder and editor of urban life zine BONUS. Peter currently lives in Zurich with his wife.

Group shows at Colette, Art Basel Miami Beach, Rocket Gallery, Diesel, Circleculture Gallery (Berlin), London, Berlin and Zurich. At No.12 Gallery it‘s his first solo show „Kaminoke Kumite“. It‘s about hair, fighting, pop culture and personal history.

„For years I have been fascinated by hair – I want to replicate it in its various shapes. Frozen, like in the middle of a movement. In the middle of a heavy fight. What I find from different media, I assemble into one illustration – drawing, colors, photography. At the same time I want to keep the tension, the struggling of the parts that have been forced in with one another. When you watch my artwork from a distance, everything seems to make sense. But as you move closer, you start to notice the discord.”

March 22nd (Saturday) to 24th (Monday) 2008, 14:00 to 20:00 at No.12 Gallery.
Special fanzine and limited handmade T-shirts available.

* Opening party on March 22nd from 17:00. Please come all and enjoy art, beer and snacks from Germany.

ClusterBombs

>Click here to read about it in German

Cluster bombs have killed and injured thousands of civilians, but now we have a real and rare opportunity to ban them in 2008.

Over the next few months, governments will be discussing and negotiating a treaty to prohibit cluster bombs. Make sure that your government is involved in the Oslo Process and supports a strong treaty that will protect civilians and assist people that have suffered from these weapons to rebuild their lives, livelihoods and communities. The time to act is now.
